Notice of Student Record Destruction (2018–2019) – Request Deadline May 15, 2026
Attention Parents/Guardians, Former Students, and Eligible (Adult) Students:
Springfield International Charter School is required by state and federal law to maintain Special Education records, including information related to identification, evaluation, educational placement, and service provision, for seven years after a student’s Special Education services have ended. These services end when a student graduates, moves out of the district, completes their educational program by age 22, or is determined no longer eligible for services.
We are notifying you that the Special Education records for students who stopped receiving services at the end of the 2018–2019 school year are scheduled to be destroyed in accordance with state law unless otherwise requested by a parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student.
If you wish to obtain these records, please contact Sue Valente at 413-783-2600 ext. 0139 and provide proof of identity no later than May 15, 2026.
Any records that are not requested by this date will be securely destroyed on June 1, 2026.
